Vittorio Emanuele Rimbotti was the president of the Fiesole Music School Foundation for almost 15 years. The school achieved great importance under his presidency and was officially recognized with a State law as an institute of national importance. In accordance with his wishes, the family allocated a legacy to support the school's initiatives and in particular the Quartet Academy. Vittorio Emanuele Rimbotti always had a great interest in young people and tried to help them find their path in life. The Quartet Academy is an opportunity that he wanted to offer young talented musicians. The Rimbotti family, in agreement with the Foundation, has decided to establish a competition for all the Academy's Quartets to win a scholarship. The board will be composed of four teachers and other eminent personalities from the European Music World.
 
6th "V.E. Rimbotti" Competition
The final competition will take place during the XVI String Quartet Academy (ECMA) (march 7, 2010).
